Tig Welding

In Tig Welding, a tungsten electrode heats the metal you are welding and gas (most commonly Argon) protects the weld puddle from airborne contaminants. This type of welding produces clean, high quality, precise welds on any metal and and welds more metals than any other process. Stainless and Alloy Products (SAP) Ltd are architectural metalworkers who specialise in the manufacture and installation of purpose made equipment in stainless steel sheet and aluminium. We pride ourselves on having the ability to manufacture one off or batch production items and offer specialist fabrication of stainless steel sheet and aluminium for a variety of industries to bespoke customer designs or to our own design.

We have CAD systems to enable any design specification to be met. We can also offer an on-site fabrication and installation service. We use TIG & MIG welding, 3 meter press brake, 3 meter guillotine and plasma cutting equipment in our fabrication work to provide bespoke fabrications and shopfitting metalwork for the construction industry. Over the years, Stainless & Alloy Products Ltd have been involved with an ever-increasing variety of different uses for these materials and can offer help in design, build and maintenance of our bespoke fabrications.

Tig Welding does not create smoke or fumes, unless the base metal being welded contains contaminants or elements such as, oil, grease, paint, lead or zinc. This makes this method of welding ideal for cosmetic welds like sculptures and automotive welds, also the finished weld will not have slag to remove between weld passes.
